About Us
Active Wealth Management (AWM) was established in May 2005 by existing Directors Colin Brown, Alan Moore and Manish Joshi. The company initially operated out of rented offices in Glasgow City Centre and in the Spring of 2006 moved to fully owned premises on West Nile Street.
Although the business is relatively young in its present form, the origins stretch back over 10 years and we are glad to say that a number of clients have been with us throughout this period, with the AWM business being founded on their loyalty.
Our business is built on a combination of existing clients and referrals from accountants and solicitors. Also a large source of business is the introductions that we receive from our current clients. This is extremely pleasing as it illustrates customer satisfaction and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our clients for their continued support.
AWM Expansion
We are delighted that the latest chapter of our growth has resulted in Fergus Hinchliffe joining as a Director along with John Cunningham as a Technical Consultant, and Susan Lobban who brings additional experience to the administration team.
The Directors now have, collectively, almost 60 years experience of Financial Services which includes time with national Accountancy firms Pannell Kerr Forster and Grant Thornton.
All four Directors, as well as John Cunningham, are qualified to give advice and are supported by our five administrators who are experienced in the industry. All of this has now led us to the position where we currently manage funds approaching £100 million making us one of the largest Independent Financial Advisers in Central Scotland.
We are qualified to give advice on all areas of investments, pensions and tax planning. Similarly the admin team are well equipped to manage your queries in a courteous and helpful manner.
